About Us

Our Story

In 2010 I began a long career in education. I was a tutor, then a early education teacher. I saw the staggering difference in the quality of education that children were receiving based solely on their families income. I firmly believe that children deserve our very best so that they can be their very best. The desire to see all children to receive the same high quality play-based education led me to create The Readiness Factor.

The Readiness Factor was born out of the idea that children are capable learners. We don't have to get them ready. Parents, educators and caretakers are constantly trying to prepare children for the next step in their lives rather than enjoying them where they are in that very moment. The Readiness Factor is about preparing ourselves to meet the challenge of parenting, teaching and caregiving.

As we adults get ourselves ready for our children's journey so we can guide and facilitate their learning along the way. The Readiness Factor is you!

The Readiness Factor community is for people who teach, work with, live with, care for, and love children.

We will provide resources and facilitate conversations that will help our little ones find joy in learning about and exploring the beautiful world we live in.

I’ve been teaching for almost ten years, and I am passionate about teaching young children. I love the idea of impacting young lives. My favorite part is watching the joy and spirit in children as they learn through play. I feel that it has impacted my life in the best way. I’ve learned from children just as much as they’ve learned from me. I’ve recognized that patience, understanding, compassion, and sensitivity are essential to this profession. I have wholeheartedly provided those during all my years of teaching.
